Meet Dr. Daniel Blohm
Chiropractic runs in Dr. Dan Blohm’s blood. His father and grandfather were both chiropractors, while his mother worked as a nurse, so he grew up with a view into both chiropractic and conventional medicine. He also experienced chiropractic care firsthand while growing up with asthma and through the usual bumps and bruises that came with playing sports.
A Family Legacy, A Personal Choice
Dr. Blohm almost became a teacher, but he wanted a more immediate way to help people and see the difference he could make in their lives. Chiropractic gave him that opportunity.
He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. After earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, he joined his family’s practice in Clinton, Iowa, before eventually moving to the Des Moines area.
Over the years, Dr. Blohm has cared for people across the lifespan, from newborns to older adults, as well as patients with sports-related injuries.
Passion, Experience and Continued Learning
What keeps Dr. Blohm motivated is simple: going to work each day knowing he has an opportunity to improve people’s lives. He hopes patients quickly see someone who’s genuinely passionate about helping people and brings the knowledge and skill to do so.
He also appreciates how chiropractic has evolved, particularly the increased collaboration with other healthcare professionals and the growing range of available techniques, therapies, and diagnostic tools.
Dr. Blohm has completed numerous courses in soft-tissue techniques, including ART and Graston, TMJ-related muscle work, and vertigo care. He has also completed many of the courses toward a Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology.
Life Outside the Clinic
Outside the office, Dr. Blohm enjoys weekends at the lake with family. He and his wife also love to travel, catch live music, and enjoy movie nights.
